These tiny mushrooms are often known as "nail" or "tack" mushrooms. They grow in small bunches but here they are separated into “nail” like mushrooms that are preserved in vinegar and oil. They are a rare mushroom collected in forests, a definite favourite for mushroom hunters in Italy.
Can be used as a vegan pickled vegetable option, or can be used as an accompaniment to meat or fish dishes in food service use.
